Monday Night Raw (18/7/2011)

Cunning and ruthless as he is, The Cerebral Assassin has taken years off the careers of many Superstars. But on Raw, even Triple H seemed to wince in ending the professional relationship between WWE and its longtime Chairman Vince McMahon.
“I’m here to inform you, Vince, that you’re relieved of your duties,” uncomfortably uttered the 13-time World Champion.
Due to “extremely questionable decisions” made by McMahon, the WWE CEO was rendered powerless and essentially fired from WWE on Monday Night Raw in a message that was visibly difficult to deliver for his son-in-law, Triple H. In Vince’s stead, a new figurehead would assume control of day-to-day operations for WWE.
“I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but, Vince … it’s me,” uttered The Game to his welled up father-in-law, whose vision was made manifest in the spectacle surrounding them in Green Bay.
The irony of the former Chairman’s rosy hued sport coat in receiving what was essentially his pink slip. Imagine McMahon’s own shock to learn that he, whose influence propelled the entertainment juggernaut known today across all hemispheres, was expunged from his own empire.

The Game interrupted The Chairman’s closing statement on Monday night, preventing Cena’s public firing. Ultimately, when it appeared The Cenation Commander-in-Chief would face “severe consequences” following his Money in the Bank defeat, it was Mr. McMahon who would experience the greatest recoil. This all after an empowered kickoff to Monday Night Raw that included the commencement of a WWE Championship Tournament as well as McMahon’s rousing address for an unforgettable night and a WWE that would be bigger, badder and better than ever.
The Chairman has clashed with the most revered names in WWE’s Hall of Fame in all types of combat. He’s been at the center of the most calamitous controversies at the cornerstones of squared circle memory. He’s even won a war and felled a media goliath in Ted Turner. Now, for all the respect McMahon’s earned – and commanded – by acts of both good and evil over the last several decades, he’s relegated to an esteemed parking spot at WWE headquarters and an essentially hollow nameplate on a cherry wood desk, now just a keepsake.
As the swagger of The WWE Chairman’s signature strut calms in pace following the outrageous bombshell, the WWE Universe  – who warmly, reverently bid McMahon adieu Monday night – wonders what lies ahead as WWE initiates its latest evolution captained by The Game. It begins with the crowning of a new WWE Champion in either Rey Mysterio or The Miz on the next Raw. Beyond that, just how will WWE be reshaped without the influence of Vincent Kennedy McMahon?

Monday Night Raw (11/7/2011)

Contract negotiations unraveled between CM Punk and Mr. McMahon; WWE Champion John Cena attacked Punk CM Punk is a man with nothing to lose. And that makes him a dangerous man, indeed.
Two weeks after giving Mr. McMahon the verbal equivalent of a kick in the grapefruits, The Second City Savior returned to Raw to renegotiate his contract. This time, though, he clearly had the upper hand. Although The Chairman had agreed to all of Punk’s earlier demands in the wake of a threat by WWE Champion John Cena, the preachy Superstar still wasn’t satisfied. Punk insisted that he also receive a private jet, that WWE ice cream bars return, that he star in his own movie and that he main event at WrestleMania. Although Mr. McMahon appeared grudgingly prepared to sign, Cena brought negotiations screeching to a halt.
The WWE Champion confronted Punk and things quickly devolved. After listening to Punk deride him for becoming everything he hates, Cena clocked his Money in the Bank opponent, who wisely snatched the contract from Mr. McMahon and skirted from the ring. He fled up the entrance ramp and once again unleashed a tirade against Cena, Mr. McMahon and the whole of the WWE Universe before tearing up his unsigned contract.

Monday Night Raw (4/7/2011)

John Cena convinced Mr. McMahon to reinstate CM Punk
Following CM Punk’s inflammatory outburst the previous week, the  WWE Universe eagerly anticipated how WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon would respond on Raw, but few could have expected Punk’s actions to spark an emotionally charged confrontation between The Chairman and WWE Champion John Cena.
The Champ lauded The Second City Savior for speaking his mind, and criticized the strong-willed CEO – who famously went toe-to-toe with Ted Turner and won – for being thin-skinned the previous week following Punk’s rant against the company. However, it’s all about “calculated risks” with Mr. McMahon, who was quick to correct The Champ. He didn’t suspend Punk for his words; he suspended him because he doesn’t think Cena can beat him. As such, The Chairman didn’t want to risk Punk leaving WWE with its grandest prize in his possession.
Questioning what the WWE Championship stands for in light of Mr. McMahon’s refusal to lift Punk’s suspension, Cena handed the title to the WWE CEO and turned his back on the boss. Irate, Mr. McMahon reluctantly agreed to reinstate The Straight Edge Superstar, under a single condition: If CM Punk leaves Chicago with the WWE Title, The Chairman will fire Cena personally in the middle of the ring.

Monday Night Raw (27/6/2011)

R-Truth def. WWE Champion John Cena in a Raw Roulette Non-title Tables Match
Millions of visitors “hit the tables” each year when they journey to Las Vegas, but typically not like this. In the final Raw Roulette bout of the evening, R-Truth faced WWE Champion John Cena in an emotionally charged Tables Match. All too eager to silence “Little Jimmys” around the globe by sending their hero crashing through the hardwood, Truth brought the fight to The Champ early on, but it was ultimately CM Punk who would decide the match’s outcome when he saved Truth from an Attitude Adjustment through the pine. Then, while Cena was distracted by The Second City Savior, Truth drove The Champ through a table propped up in the corner of the ring.

Monday Night Raw (20/6/2011)

WWE Champion John Cena, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton & Alex Riley def. R-Truth, Christian & The Miz in an Elimination Tag Team Match
While members of the WWE Universe were busy exercising their rights, R-Truth, Christian & The Miz were busy exercising their mouths. The three came up short at Capitol Punishment the night before and had complained to SmackDown GM Theodore Long, who finally arranged a match for them against WWE Champion John Cena, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton & Alex Riley.
The only question that remained was under which stipulation would the six fight? The WWE Universe determined they would battle in an Elimination Match (79%), far surpassing the one fall to a finish (15%) and 20-minute time limit (6%) options.
When the bell rang, the tension reverberating between the six Superstars was clearly evident. Hot off his massive victory over Miz, A-Ry appeared pumped. He took the fight to Christian and his former boss like a veteran ring leader. Although the aggression was impressive, Riley found himself the first to be eliminated. Next up, Miz and R-Truth would fall in close succession, leaving Christian to tackle both Cena & Orton.
Captain Charisma grew so excited at having eliminated the World Heavyweight Champion that he appeared not to remember The Champ remained in the bout. As Christian occupied himself with Cena, The Viper slithered in and nailed him with a surprise RKO. The move allowed the WWE Champion to snap on the STF, forcing Christian to tap out and handing Cena’s squad the victory.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Driven by bitterness and fury, the unhinged R-Truth vowed to silence the “Little Jimmys” of the WWE Universe by toppling their hero, John Cena, and leaving Capitol Punishment with the WWE Championship he had stolen from The Champ just six days earlier. However, after nearly ending Cena’s WWE Title reign in the District of Columbia, it was the delusional Superstar who got “got” in this volatile main event, which culminated with a “splash.”
Truth has intimidated members of Cenation over the past several weeks, but it was one of Cena’s loyal admirers at the Verizon Center who would show the former rapper “what’s up” during his first-ever one-on-one WWE Title opportunity. When Truth tried to steal a drink from a young fan at ringside, the stalwart Cenation member cooled off the hip-hop hothead by throwing the beverage in his face. Cena then capitalized, tossing the stunned Truth back in the ring for a much-deserved Attitude Adjustment.
 
After losing a WWE Title opportunity to John Morrison on Raw back in April, Truth revealed a more sinister side to his personality, proclaiming that his past desire to entertain the WWE Universe kept him from attaining championship glory in WWE. Furthermore, in Truth’s warped version of reality, he has been the victim of an elaborate “conspiracy” that has kept him from unleashing his true potential.
Taking out his many frustrations on Morrison and Rey Mysterio, Truth went on to target yet another former friend in Cena, but he didn’t stop there. On multiple occasions, Truth has antagonized members of Cenation face-to-face, using Cena’s connection with his fans to get inside the WWE Champion’s head. In fact, it was one such vile encounter with a father and son that helped Truth earn a count-out victory over Cena on the May 30 edition of Raw. Following that heinous distraction – which catapulted Truth into a WWE Title bout with Cena at Capitol Punishment – the conspiracy theorist shockingly doused the elder Cena fan with a beverage. However, bound together by mutual hustle, loyalty and respect, neither the denizens of Cenation nor their leader were about to let this transgression go unpunished.

Multiple times during this emotionally charged confrontation, Truth nearly put away The Champ to capture his first WWE Title – a notable achievement given his recent “secession” from the WWE Universe. However, in spite of his rugged offense and conspiracy-fueled determination, Truth was no match for Cena’s perseverance and a little liquid retribution from Cenation.
As disturbed as he might be, Truth’s remarkable performance at Capitol Punishment proves he is a force to be reckoned with on Raw whether the “Little Jimmys” of the world like it or not.  Nevertheless, Cenation has plenty of reason to celebrate following Cena’s impressive WWE Title defense in Washington, D.C. Hail to The Champ!
